Our Story

Founded in honor of Blake.

For Blake's Sake Rescue was born from love — and from loss. Blake was a sweet dog who taught us how much one life can change a family forever. In his memory, we committed to giving that same chance to as many dogs as we can.

Based in Staten Island, New York, we are a 501(c)(3) volunteer-run nonprofit (EIN 83-2992337). We work tirelessly to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs in need — funded entirely by the generosity of our community.
